Au Pair Germany will find a nice and reputable host family in Germany for you. The whole process is completely simple and free of charge. You don't have to pay any agency fee!

Once a suitable family is found, the host family and the Au Pair are both required to sign a mutual contract outlining the rights, duties and responsibilities of both parties. The signed contract is then presented at the German Embassy in your country for a visa application.

On approval of visa, suitable travel arrangements are made for your host family to meet you at the nearest airport. Au Pair Germany is then the responsible advocate for your rights and overall comfort during your stay here in Germany.

In the instance that you are not comfortable with your current family, we try to find you another suitable family free of charge. An Au Pair is free to change family up to a number of three times and our team will be available to assist you at all times.

Placement in a host family through Au Pair Germany also accords certain unique privileges, such as:

You obtain an Au Pair identity card that accords you (student) privileges for travel and entertainment
You are provided with contact details from other Au Pairs living within your area

Travel costs

You are expected to meet the visa application and travel costs to and from Germany personally. On the other hand however, you don't have to pay any agency fee!

We know, that flight costs to Germany are difficult to raise, especially for African and Asian Au Pair candidates. Therefore some of our Au Pairs borrow the money from relatives or nonprofit organizations in your home country and return the money in small monthly rates. Flight costs to Germany at the moment amount to about 500 €, depending on your home country.
